Once upon a time, in a peaceful village, there was a wise old owl named Oliver. Oliver always reminded the villagers about the importance of sleeping in complete darkness. He would say, “Imagine your bedroom as a cozy cave. Keep it as dark as possible to ensure a restful sleep. Sleep where it is pitch black.”

One day, a curious little firefly named Flicker asked Oliver, “Why should we avoid night lights, especially those that shine directly into our eyes?”

Oliver explained, “Our eyes are like delicate flowers. Bright lights, especially sudden glares, can harm them. If you need a light, use a soft red one. It’s like a gentle glow that won’t disturb your sleep.”

Flicker was fascinated and asked, “Is this important for everyone?”

“Yes,” Oliver nodded. “Especially for infants. Just like plants need darkness to grow properly, babies need darkness to sleep well. Continuous artificial light at night can cause serious damage.”

Flicker then wondered about the dazzling lights in nightclubs. Oliver warned, “Imagine your eyes are like delicate flowers. Flashing lights can harm them and disrupt your body’s natural rhythms, affecting your immunity.”

Oliver also shared a cautionary tale about the environmental impact. “Excessive lighting has been harming our health for decades, like pollution in the air. It’s important to keep our sleep environment dark for better health.”

And so, the villagers followed Oliver’s advice, ensuring their homes were dark and peaceful at night. They slept soundly, knowing they were taking care of their health, just as Oliver had taught them.
