adopt pets

Summer is here, and sadly, this is when we see more stray kittens and puppies. One reason is that people take their unsterilized pets to their summer homes, where they end up having unwanted babies.

Sometimes, these babies find homes, but often they don’t. Many end up abandoned and die when it gets cold. Some owners leave their pets behind or drop them off at vet clinics or nearby buildings.

For example, at our summer cottage this year, six cats were abandoned, and they had over 20 kittens. The whole neighborhood is feeding them now, but what will happen to them in winter?

Last fall, we asked everyone we knew to adopt these kittens. If you want to give a loving home to a kitten, please contact us. We can bring a kitten to Moscow. They come in all colors and fur types. If you want a cat and won’t breed it, please consider adopting a stray. They will be grateful forever.

Most importantly, if you don’t plan to breed your pets, get them sterilized before taking them to the countryside. It’s humane and prevents unwanted litters. If you already have kittens or puppies, find them new homes. You can use free online bulletin boards to post photos and contact info.

Please, don’t abandon animals. Before getting a pet, think carefully about whether you can take care of it, both physically and financially.
